If you run a small business, work at home quite often, or just volunteer for a committee that requires numerous printouts, then you’ve probably thought of investing in a copier. Photocopying machines are a great investment for anyone who has lots of printing to do, and it can be much cheaper in the long end than just printing copies from a computer. But what are the different types of copiers that are available, and which one is right for you?

If the copier is going to be placed in an office setting where it will be used by many people, an industrial copying machine is probably the best choice. There are many models of these copiers available and have capabilities of printing off 500 copies quickly to as many as 50,000 copies quickly. Just be sure when you choose this option that you go through a company that will service and maintain the copier for you. This can be a huge expense should your copier break down and being able to just make a quick phone call will let you get back to business.

If you only run a small business, even one as small as out of your house, then you’ll probably still want to invest in a copier. These can also be great for volunteers in organizations and committees that often have to print out flyers, brochures, pamphlets, and any other necessary correspondence. But an industrial copier isn’t going to be necessary. In fact, there are smaller machines that do many different functions, including faxing and working as a telephone. These can not only be great copiers, they can also be your entire home office all in one!
